Meet John
Right Time, Right Experience
John Kane is a proud multi-generational cattle rancher, accomplished business owner, and unwavering advocate for Oklahoma’s conservative principles.
Born and raised in Bartlesville, John continued his family’s legacy by attending the University of Kansas, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He later expanded his expertise with a certificate from Texas Christian University’s School of Ranch Management.
After starting his professional life in banking, John seized the opportunity to return to his roots by partnering with his father to establish a cattle-ranching business. Today, he operates the ranch alongside his son, continuing a tradition that spans generations. With over 35 years of experience as a business owner, John understands the challenges of running a business—balancing budgets, meeting payroll, and managing every responsibility that comes with signing both sides of the check.
Family is at the heart of John's life. He and his wife, Barbara, share five children, and all seven of their grandchildren call Bartlesville home.
For John and Barbara, their dedication to their community starts with their faith at Grace Community Church in Bartlesville and extends to making the world a better place for future generations. Through years of volunteering and active involvement in local organizations, John’s commitment to giving back has never wavered. His leadership and community spirit were recognized when Governor Stitt appointed him to the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Commission.
John Kane’s life and work are grounded in a deep love for his family, community, and the values that make Oklahoma strong.
